About Silsilah # 5 Dance Programme:
Silsilah is an educational program for contemporary dance that targets a group of young adults from Alexandria to enrol in technical dance training as well as to be involved in a creative process that culminates in an original dance piece to be presented on scene.
The program, in its fifth edition, is artistically directed by Shaymaa Shoukry who led the group, using her artistic approach, through a creative process which involves the group of participants in a self-expressive practice in an artistic setting, bringing them to present their own creation on stage, and showing all the technical experiences acquired throughout the training process. The presented work is based on the choreographic and text contribution of the group of participants.

Silsilah # 5 Dance Programme is organised by Center Rézodanse Egypte, with the support of AFAC-Arab Funds for Arts and Culture, in partnership with the British Council, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Lycée français d'Alexandrie (MLF) and B'Sarya for Arts.
